Padel Tournament Structure – 2025 Overview

So we did the hard work for you.

In this blog, you’ll find a simple overview of all the Premier Padel tournaments, plus how the ranking points actually work.

Because yes, some tournaments give more points than others (and no, we didn’t know that either at first).

Whether you’re a die-hard fan, a new player, or just pretending you know what “P1” means — this guide is for you.

In our menu you can find the Premier Padel page, where all the tournaments are mentioned for 2025.

🏆 1. Premier Padel Tour

Organized by the International Padel Federation (FIP) and backed by the ATP, this is the top-tier professional tour. It includes:

🥇 Major Tournaments

Most prestigious events (padel’s equivalent to tennis Grand Slams).

2,000 ranking points for winners.

Highest prize money.

• Hosted in iconic venues like Rome (Foro Italico), Paris (Roland Garros), Doha.

• Mandatory for top-ranked players.

🥈 P1 Tournaments

• High-level events, just below Majors.

1,000 ranking points for winners.

• Still attract most top players.

• More frequent than Majors and spread across more global locations.

🥉 P2 Tournaments

• Introduced in 2024 to broaden the tour.

500 ranking points for winners.

• More accessible for mid-ranked players.

• Competitive and professional level, but slightly less media attention.

🌍 2. FIP Tour (Feeder Circuit)

Designed to develop upcoming talent and provide ranking progression into the Premier Padel Tour.

🎖 FIP Silver

80 ranking points for winners.

Prize money: €15,000–€30,000.

• Tournaments include qualifying (2 days) + main draw (3 days).

• Must have at least 3 match courts, warm-up courts, locker rooms, fitness facilities, and Wi-Fi.

• Ideal for players just outside the top tier.

🥉 FIP Bronze

40 ranking points for winners.

Prize money: €7,000–€10,000.

• Same structure as Silver events but with smaller budgets.

• Entry-level professional events for new talent or regional top players.

🧭 Summary

Majors, P1, and P2: Form the Premier Padel Tour, the highest level of international padel.

Silver & Bronze: Part of the FIP Tour, focused on development, points building, and player growth.

• The system creates a clear path from local/regional events to the global elite stage.
